Apabila waktu subuh tiba..

p/s- tabuh adalah sejenis batang kayu yang dipalu apabila tiba masuk waktu solat. Tidak pasti sama ada masih digunakan atau tidak (last raya aku balik kg tabuh sudah tidak digunakan lg)..

Hari Pahlawan di UK..

Hari ini sempena hari Ahad ke-2 dalam bulan 11 adalah 'Remembrance Day' di UK.

Dengan kata lain, Remembrance Day ini adalah seperti Hari Pahlawan di Malaysia.
Remembrance Day mula disambut di UK selepas Perang Dunia Pertama untuk memperingati askar-askar yang terkorban semasa perang.


Bunga 'merah' ini dipanggil bunga popi dan dipakai sebagai memperingati askar yang terkorban semasa perang.

Tetapi mengapa Bunga popi?
Semasa perang Dunia pertama, sebuah kawasan bernama Flanders di Belgium menyaksikan pertempuran yang paling sengit dan menyebabkan ratusan ribu nyawa terkorban. Rumah, pokok, jalan dan segala struktur bangunan musnah dalam perang. Flanders menjadi sebuah kawasan yang kosong daripada hidupan. Tetapi semasa musim panas tiba, bunga popi mula tumbuh mekar di Flanders dan Flanders kembali cantik dengan ke'merah'an bunga popi yang tumbuh merata.
Bunga popi melambangkan kehidupan, dan harapan. Sehingga kini bunga popi digunakan di banyak negara sebagai simbolik kepada askar yang terkorban di medan perang.


p/s- tujuan utama entri ini dibuat untuk semua peminat EPL yang tertanya-tanya mengapa bunga popi ini dipakai oleh semua pemain dan manager EPL..

Jumaat di London..

Pernah mendengar amanat dari Tun Mahathir semasa beliau datang ke VI beberapa tahun lepas..

Pernah mendengar amanat dari Dato Seri Najib semasa program MSLS anjuran UKEC di KL beberapa bulan lepas..

Dan pada hari jumaat yang lalu, aku akhirnya dapat meluangkan masa untuk mendengar kata-kata amanat daripada Datuk Seri Anwar..


Gua cakap sama lu, skill pidato Dato Seri Anwar sangat-sangat mengkagumkan.. Kalau la aku mendengar talk dia sehari sebelum pergi mengundi, komfirm kertas undi aku cuma nampak bulan,roket atau pkr..

Semasa talk ini, Dato Seri Anwar banyak menyentuh mengenai korupsi yang semakin parah dalam kerajaan..Kebetulan pula semasa ini Dato Seri Najib baru sahaja membentangkan Budget 2011 manakala Laporan Audit juga baru sahaja dilaporkan kepada umum beberapa hari lepas..

Beliau juga turut meyakinkan pada pelajar di sana bahawa jika PR memerintah, semua rakyat akan dilayan secara adil tidak kira latar belakang bangsa mahupun agama..

Selain itu, beliau turut berbangga mengatakan bahawa semua negeri di bawah PR menunjukkan rekod yang baik berdasarkan Laporan Audit Negara..

Sambil berucap, beliau kadangkala turut berseloroh mengenai kes liwat yang dikatakan hanya sebagai fitnah kerajaan pada beliau..

Sudah la, malas nk tulis panjang-panjang..ini bukan BERNAMA mahupun Malaysiakini..

Tetapi apa yang aku dapat konklusikan daripada ucapan beliau ialah: Jika anda mahu menjadi ahli politik:

i) Anda perlu hebat menyusun kata-kata dan berani berucap di hadapan hadirin

ii) Jika dilemparkan dengan 'fitnah' atau 'kantoi', anda mesti pandai menggunakan point tersebut untuk 'attack' balik musuh politik anda..

iii) Dan yang paling penting sekali, anda mestilah pandai memuji diri sendiri.. Orang hanya akan tahu kehebatan anda jika anda tidak muntah ataupun segan apabila memuji diri sendiri.. Siapa lagi yang nak puji diri sendiri kalau bukan anda..Ada betul?..

Summer Holiday Malaysia Part 1

Sementara kebosanan sambil melayan internet dan membaca berita semasa sambil stalk umat manusia di fb (hari rabu malam adalah malam tanpa buku bagi aku), secara tiba-tiba itunes aku memainkan lagu "Kau" nyanyian Sheila Majid..

Untuk pengetahuan, lagu Sheila Majid tidak pernah berada dalam playlist iTunes aku.. Tetapi adalah pemberian hadiah dari 'supervisor' aku semasa intern di KL beberapa bulan yang lalu.. dan lagu ini secara tiba2 mengingatkan kenangan manis aku bekerja di sana selama 2 bulan :'(..

Gambar adalah aku bersama Encik Kamal dan VCD Sheila Majid pada hari terakhir aku di ofis..

Che' Wan yang sangat berdedikasi dan sangat membantu sepanjang aku di sana.. Walaupun kadang-kadang terasa takut nak tegur sebab 'kelembapan' aku yang susah sangat nak faham..nak buat macamana, dulu masa SPM aku belajar untuk proses maksimum 5 invois je dlm masa sejam..

Cik Lia yang comel dan sporting..orang pertama yang aku kenal di ofis selepas orang dari HR..orang pertama yang akan 'menimbunkan' meja aku dengan pelbagai kerja..hehe..jangan marah cik Lia..dan beliau juga lah orang pertama yang aku cari apabila akal logik aku tidak mampu faham teori akaun yang baru belajar..

Dan tidak lupa juga Encik Saiful, menjadi teman 'borak bola' bersama-sama..dan sama-sama mendoakan kejatuhan Man U satu hari nanti..Yezza.. Meja beliau adalah destinasi pertama aku pergi jika terlalu kebosanan di tempat sendiri.. Seorang kipas susah mati Tottenham..

Tangkal ajaib yang wajib berada di leher apabila hendak melepasi security... Mula-mula niat hendak 'curi' bawa balik pada hari terakhir kerja tetapi mendapat warning awal daripada orang HR yang aku perlu membayar RM80 jika gagal pulangkan..Dah la masa tu elaun bulan ke-2 xdapat lagi..misi mencuri tangkal ajaib-FAIL..

1st World Problem...
